The Business of Art. Photographer and artist Barbara Bourne will be discussing her photography career that has spanned nearly 40 years. Get ready to be inspired by her successful creative journey!

Barbara’s commercial photography has been focused on architecture and interiors, lifestyle, and food and wine imagery. She has worked for both the Healdsburg and Windsor Chambers over the 25 years that she’s been based in Sonoma County, and she shoots for many local and regional hotels, wineries, architects and builders. 

Having her life’s work in a creative field has been a deeply satisfying path for her and she hopes to inspire others to find their own way to earn a living doing what they love. Two books of her work have recently been published: Camera Girl, Volume 1: Capital Moments, a collection of black and white street photographs shot in Washington, D.C. where she got her start in the 1980s, and Camera Girl, Volume II, Concrete Blonde, featuring her commercial work of 40 years. Both volumes tell the story of how she got started, learned, and worked to build a successful business in the Arts. Barbara has a gallery and studio in Healdsburg where she sells her landscape photography and abstract paintings; she lives here on the Town Green in Windsor.
