Wading Through Flood Information – a Free Flood Ready Webinar
COPE Northern Sonoma County is hosting its first free, quarterly webinar for 2023. The February webinar will focus on being flood ready, with discussions on flood risks and evacuation procedures. Learn about flood risks in our area, how to evacuate during a flood and what to do when a flood alert is issued. The speakers will be from Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management and Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, with an opportunity for attendees to post questions. To register for the webinar, residents can go to https://shorturl.at/bjBHK. COPE’s second quarterly webinar is planned for April 2023 and will discuss preparedness for earthquakes. COPE Northern Sonoma County is a non-profit organization that provides emergency resources to residents. Their Leadership Group is a collaboration between COPE Community Leaders, fire officials, and representatives from local government and nonprofits. The program is based on “neighbors helping neighbors” and is throughout Sonoma County. By working together as residents, communities, and local agencies to prepare for emergencies, Sonoma County has proven to be safer and more resilient.
