Join us for the July Virtual Chamber membership luncheon with Jane Elias, SoCo Energy & Sustainability Division Manager, and special guest, Deb Fudge.

Ms. Elias will speak to the services available to businesses in Sonoma County, including no-cost Green Business Certification, no-cost consultations, and financing. The Green Business Certification has checklists specific to over 15 types of businesses and looks at areas of energy, water, waste, pollution prevention, and best practices within a business.
Deb Fudge will follow Ms. Elias with a talk about Windsor’s (the town’s) climate policies, our 1.7 MW floating solar project on Pond 7, our desire to create microgrids, and zero net energy Mill Creek apartment project, as well as the importance of businesses and residents to also cut their own greenhouse gas emissions.

Energy and Sustainability Division Manager
As the Energy and Sustainability Division Manager, Jane oversees the Division’s goal to promote and deliver solutions necessary to mitigate environmental impacts and address climate change. The Division offers a comprehensive portfolio of resources to assist customers with the initiation and completion of building efficiency upgrades, installation of renewable energy systems and storage, and implementing sustainable practices. The Division offers services to residents, businesses, government agencies, neighboring municipalities, non-profit organizations, contractors, and internal County Departments.
Jane holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego. She has been involved in energy efficiency, building science, green building and renewable energy for over 20 years and holds certifications in each of these sectors.
The Energy and Sustainability Division is part of the General Services Department of the County of Sonoma. This division is responsible for planning, evaluating and administering the County-wide Energy Management and Sustainability Program.
Services include:
Long and short range energy and green procurement strategies, effective and efficient energy use and sustainability practices, county employee commute reduction planning, energy efficiency and water conservation education, programs and services to all residents and business owners in Sonoma County.
